Jean-Marie Benjamin
Jean-Marie Benjamin (born April 1946 in Salon-de-Provence) is a composer of classical music, film soundtracks and pop music. He is the director of five films and author of eleven books puplished in Italy, France and Switzerland. He was ordained a priest in Rome in October 1991.
Some of this classical compositions are : Otario "The creation of the Angels" for soloists, mixed choir, male chior, white voice choir and orchestra, Madrid Opéra (1975) and Roma RAIUNO (1984); "Jerusalem Symphony", Paris Symphony Orchestra of the Salle Pleyel (1972); Concerto for cello and orchestra (Geneva); "Slave Regina" for choir and strings, Rome (1994), others and several works of sacred muscic for choir and chamber orchestra. Paul McCartney recorded a transcription of Benjamin's "Ode to the Child", the official anthem of UNICEF (RAI orchestra and choir, Rome)
